Knicks Nets To Expand Mikal Bridges Trade For Knicks To Avoid First Apron Hard Cap

The New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets are expanding the Mikal Bridges trade to include additional players on both sides. This will allow the Knicks to avoid being hard-capped at the first apron. This gives New York additional flexibility to make further moves.

Shake Milton will sign a three-year, $9 million deal as part of a sign-and-trade from the Knicks to the Nets. Only the first season will be guaranteed for Milton in the deal. New York will also send Mamadi Diakite to Brooklyn, along with the previously agreed upon Bojan Bogdanovic and multiple first-round picks and swaps.

The Nets will send Keita Bates-Diop to the Knicks, along with Bridges.
